Permanent Position - Regulatory Affairs Manager

MISSION

The Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products comply with applicable regulations and for facilitating their international marketing. Reporting to the department manager, he or she collaborates with various development functions (marketing, R&D, project management, etc.) and the sales teams.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

  • Attend project meetings to ensure that developments comply with regulations
  • Contact the laboratories to prepare quotes, establish the project budget, and have them approved.
  • Manage and coordinate shipments, track schedules, and oversee test budgets with external laboratories
  • Submit requests for preliminary safety assessments and safety evaluations to the toxicologist.
  • Analyze and validate, in consultation with the toxicologist, the claims proposed by the marketing department.
  • Review the text and regulatory disclosures in the set design documents.
  • Notify the product on the CPNP portal.
  • Compile the Product Information File (PIF)

 REGULATORY:

  • Monitor international MP/PACK regulations
  • Analyze and communicate the impacts of regulatory changes
  • Monitor cosmetovigilance cases.
  • Respond to requests from distributors to register products and enable their sale.
  • Respond to requests from sales representatives.

SKILLS

Expertise

  • Knowledge of current European cosmetics regulations is essential, as is knowledge of the international regulatory landscape
  • Proficiency in common computer tools (spreadsheets, databases, etc.).
  • Business English
  • Familiarity with the COPTIS software is a plus

TRAINING

  • Higher education degree (BAC+5) in regulatory affairs/regulatory toxicology
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the cosmetics industry
